XPeng delivered 50,237 vehicles in October, up 20% from a year earlier, and overseas deliveries rose 166%. The L05 had not started deliveries yet, but record sales support a stronger outlook.
Sales growth outside China gives XPeng another source of demand. The L05 was only scheduled to begin deliveries on Nov. 1, and the robotaxi license covers demonstration work, not a broad rollout. Those plans are less certain than the reported delivery growth.
NIO delivered 34,246 vehicles in October, down 15.2% from a year earlier and 8.5% from September. Both declines point to weaker sales.
