ASML completed talks for higher prices on key machines, expected to lift sales and profit from 2027. Factory costs will use part of the gain, and gross margin may slip from 57.5% to about 57% in Q4; yearly increases are not planned.
Higher prices should give ASML more money from equipment chipmakers need for advanced chips. Some of that money will cover factory growth, and gross margin is expected to slip from 57.5% in Q3 to about 57% in Q4. Still, the price gains should start in 2027 and reach their full effect in 2028. Demand already exceeds planned output for 2027 and 2028, adding support to the outlook.
TSM is ASML’s largest customer, but ASML did not name which buyers accepted higher prices. TSM had resisted earlier increases, so no confirmed cost change for TSM is reported.
An analyst warned that expensive borrowing and insufficient returns could leave CoreWeave shareholders with nothing if AI spending weakens. Strong AI demand is a counterpoint, but the company-specific warning points to serious risk.
